Effects of [n] edits on GWAS scores
A while ago I wondered something along the lines of:
If you were to pick the highest impact edits from a GWAS, what would they look like?
Specifically, the following seemed interesting:
- Would the top edits be shared by most people (potentially affecting the ease of a widespread multiplexed therapy)?
- How much can we expect to affect a score with 1, 10, or 100 edits (potentially giving an idea of how many edits would be required to significantly shift a trait)?
The most straightforward way to do this is to score a bunch of genomes, and keep track of the mutations with the largest effects, so I did just that.
You can find the results here.
